Not in contact.

Woah~ I had not been in contact with my blog for quite some time. Mainly because of two reasons – no idea what to blog about and been reflecting on some particular things. I shall divide today’s post part by part. Actually I never thought that my life would be so colourful until I met many friends and awesome people in life. I really enjoyed every wonderful or happy moments that we shared together.
 

Happy moments like this~

A birthday celebration is already consider a happy moment. Maybe I don't really ask for much, I only ask for simplicity, warmth and humorous. I used to think that care and concern are more important than what I am asking for.
 

Sometimes, I love to be like a small kid, playing around at the playground. Not because I am deprive on childhood. However it's because being a small kid, you will be so carefree and do not need to worry about this and that.:)

Sometimes, I am thankful as I met people in life who shared the same sentiments as me, having a group of special people/sister around me and, having people who wore the same dress code as me coincidentally. I am also truly thankful to those who came to comfort me when I'm feeling extremely disheartened.

And also sometimes, when I am feeling disheartened, I tends to think a lot. Many of you asked me not to think so much, and I have tried not to. However, it doesn't help me from thinking about some "possible to happen" negative stuffs which your may think that it is impossible to.

Negative stuff like~

王子是不可能让一位跟公主比不上的人来安抚他.. 也许是一相情愿, 自作多情, 又或者是我想太多了, 以为事情能随我所愿.

Honestly speaking, the caption for the above photo is a true experience I am experiencing now! :( I wish I could help with what's bothering the prince (王子), however.. hais.

But well, many events coming up this month! Shall use the time to think on how to make EME an even better fans club and how to help out William for most of the events to lighten his work-load.

春 Showcase and William's Birthday gathering.

Firstly, congrats to Peter for having a successful showcase! Anticipating more songs that you will be singing. Haha! 

Met SillyKid and Yumi and we went to 春 Showcase together. Peter never fails to present the best out of him to us. :P I've enjoyed throughout his entire showcase. Nice songs, nice vocals! Jiayou Peter!

Oh, and the guest performer for today was Mac Sim. I actually like this song that was sang by him, it's really nice. Listen to it! :)

Secondly, Happy Birthday to William. Thank you for all the encouragement, advice, care and concern given by you. Wish you good health and much luck in your future endeavours! Stay healthy and cheerful. :)

To me, you are actually someone with lots of knowledge. Someone who can gives a lot of advices and encouragement. The speech by you that was held in the cafe itself touches me. Life wasn't full of success, there's failing too. But on every failing, you never stop doing better. You rise every time you fall. 

That was the greatest thing I admire in you. I think you can read everyone (including me) like a book. So I guess you know I am a very pessimistic girl. who is also from the Entertainment Marketing Organization (EMO). I failed in many things, too. Relationship, friendship, once studies and many countless failings. I thought time can heal all wounds, and I didn't approach anyone for guiding or counselling. However, I couldn't get back to feet. I starts to think that my life sucks. Slowly, I began to keep quiet when I met with obstacles and some personal problems.

Until I met you, I changed many thinking in life. Every time I fail in something, I will tell myself that it is time for me to put in more effort so that I will succeed the next time. Thank you for changing my thinking in life. But I think there's more I have to learn from you.

Lastly, I think I look weird today. I guess it's because of my hair style. Should not have clip up my fringe. Haha.

Who exactly Elson Soh 苏奕铨 is? :)

Have you heard of Elson Soh 苏奕铨? I often blog about certain events that I had attend which involved him. Hence, friends who visited my blog will pop me with many questions about him. Below are some of the questions often asked by friends who read my blog.

“Who exactly is Elson Soh?"

“How you know him?"

“He is a singer ah?"

Hereby, my intention of this post is to let everyone knows more about this eminent singer, who is humble and hungry in learning more from his mentor 黑夜老师, on how to improve on his singing and composing even better songs.
 

I get to know him through my friend in the year of 2008. At then, I only knew that he is a senior of mine who used to study in Kranji Secondary School. Remembered very clearly, we used to contact each other for months and then lost contact for months. This lasted for 2 years. Through these 2 years, I hadn’t attended a single event of his. I guessed I miss out a lot. And finally, in current year 2010, I attended his Yes 93.3fm Radio Interview and this is my very first time getting to see him in real person.

Elson Soh 苏奕铨 seems to know how it takes to make a strong impression of him on others. The tall and charming him and the sweet smile on his face, gave me a very strong and deep impression of him! It actually takes me much courage to say this, but this is what I honestly think. Haha! =)

I can see his passion and hard work in singing and composing song. I felt that he indeed deserve unconditioned support from all the friends and supporters around him. The end product of the unplugged music by him touched everyone’s heart. I really admired his talent! I enjoyed myself in every performance by him. I wonder is it because of his voice that makes the song sounds nice even without the melody. Somehow it is true that music can be the voice of what we feel inside, especially when we are mute by the voice of our hearts. I think he is a 情歌王子.

Wonder why I say that he is a 情歌王子? It is because romance songs that is sang by him touches me and, no matter I replayed it for how many times, I won’t get sick of it. In fact, I will sing to it. Opps =/

As time passes, a small relationship slowly builds up in between Elson and all his friends and supporters. On 19th of June, the day when he’s leaving Singapore to Shanghai for media interview, a group of us went to sent him off. This relationship isn’t really a small one, in fact a one that we can’t afford to lose. I remembered I count down to his return, leaving him a message in his blog and even his Facebook wall.

Finally, 3 weeks later, he’s back. This time round, a larger group of friends and supporters went to welcome him back and he even bought a small gift for each and everyone of us! How sweet he is! :)

The keychain that he is holding is the small gift I referring to. Once again, I wants to thank him for the gift. :)

I had learned a lot from him, in fact more than expected. I learned that practice makes perfect. I shall take his recent showcase, namely ‘Extraordinary Fabulous’ showcase as an example. From the moment I stepped into the music cafe, he had been practicing, hoping to present the best out of him to the audiences.

Despite the ticket price of $15 for two hours-long showcase, more than 15 die-hard fans  and friends showed up at the café, located at Orchard on 5 September, to witness the great stage presence of the 情歌王子, also known as Elson Soh 苏奕铨!

 
What really drew the audiences’ attention were his powerful vocals! He could sing out the feeling through the songs and that’s why, music is what feeling sounds like. =)

After the showcase ended, he cranks up the atmosphere as he pranced and shimmied his way into the hearts of his loyal supporters. Some of the audiences were sitting at one corner, maybe because they were emo or sick. He never failed to approach them, giving his best care and concern – an act that won him adores and loves from his friends and supporters!

As a student of SIM University, he has also become an expert at organizing his time, into consideration of his school work, hectic trainings and performance schedules. Just before I forget, this year, he has also contributed a National Day’s song to Singapore. The song ‘梦想起飞 (Live our dreams, fly our flag)’ has even involved his two juniors, Shanice Koh and Dayan Tan to sing along in the chorus of the song! The MV seemed little short of miraculous & drew considerable music lovers! They practiced it laboriously throughout so many days and it turned out to be an awesome song to everyone who knows Elson Soh 苏奕铨. Click here, to listen. :) 

Lastly, all this while, friends and supporters has always been living their dreams with him. Everyone is anticipating the releasing of his debut album!
